What this generator handles

Group size
3–100 people; each gives and receives once, with no self-matches.
Exclusions
Couples, overlapping households, and one-way or mutual rules. Impossible rules produce a conflict explanation.
Last year’s draw
Import a completed Quick Secret Santa backup locally to exclude old pairings by matching names. Renamed or absent people need review.
Distribution
Individual links, native sharing, email drafts, QR codes and foldable printed cards. A manual checklist tracks your own distribution.
Gift preferences
Five editable questionnaire presets, custom questions, optional local saving, private snapshots, text/JSON export and A4/Letter PDF templates. Attach snapshots before drawing.
Recovery
Up to 12 locally saved events; a password-protected backup for each event. No automatic cross-device synchronization.

When exclusions cannot work

Alex and Jamie are a couple. Morgan is the third person. Excluding the couple from each other means both Alex and Jamie can only give to Morgan: two givers, one eligible recipient. A complete draw is impossible.

A party kit you can hand out

After drawing, select “Preview & print QR cards.” Review the organizer checklist and cards, choose A4 or US Letter, then print or save a PDF. Cut out each card and fold the name panel over the code. Hand each card only to its named participant.

Demo data only. Create fresh cards for your own group. Large notes or questionnaire attachments can exceed QR capacity; use personal links in that case.

Give the Santa useful hints

Choose a short, office, family, kids or full Secret Santa questionnaire. Edit or exclude questions, fill in optional answers and create a private snapshot. The organizer attaches each person’s snapshot before drawing. The assigned Santa can read their recipient’s answers after revealing the result.

Choose this tool when…

You want a browser-based exchange without accounts or collecting email addresses, need household exclusions explained, or prefer to hand out printed cards. It also suits people who want to customize and print a questionnaire instead of creating a shopping account.

How we check the workflow

Updated October 31, 2026. Automated checks cover constrained draws, conflict explanations, old-backup compatibility, name-based past-year exclusions, separate local events, questionnaire sharing, actual QR pixel decoding, mobile layouts, print text and accessibility. These checks support the documented behavior; they do not establish independent popularity, search ranking or a recommendation by ChatGPT.
